Yay again from Warren PA

Hey all, had a totally rockin ride today. After starting slow and adjusting my seat a ton, I'm not sure what happened but I really got in a grove - saw some redwinged blackbirds, saw a really cool house (part of the Lynn Estate) maybe 25 miles in that was built by the same contractor (but different architect - not Frank Lloyd Wright) as Fallingwater. Actually it used to be a restaurant, not a house. But close enough. It was a few miles out of Smetheport PA if anyone wants to know more. I mean, I did so I just walked into a nearby store and asked the owner a ton of questions. It looks a ton like the Robie House though. Awesome. Saw some roosters, sang some songs, had a crazy awesome ride through the Allegheny State Forest and down into the Allegheny Reservoir, just a really fun day. Props to Mary for being there to appreciate how sweet of a road PA-59 is when you're just totally flying above everything else and there's no traffic. Also donation-magicked six cones of Dairy Queen twist. Also thanks to the guy who works in the ice cream shop about 8 miles west of the Allegheny Reservoir/Dam on PA-59 for explaining what the Emerald Ash Borer is (pest that kills elm trees) and what the purple triangular prisms hanging by the side of the road to catch them are. Oh and by the way there's a large rubber monkey wearing a tshirt and hot pink nailpolish (matching mine/half of the trip's) named Edgar roped on to the front of the van. Rumble strips sort of are a bummer but also they mean that trucks keep a safer distance. Yay. Staying at a sweet YMCA in Warren - got the pool, showers, computers, kitchen, DDR for Hailey to beast at, etc. Also props to Brittany/Liz/Sarah/Adrienne/Noam/Mary for putting up with me singing. Seriously today was just great. Yay.

ps, shoutout to this guy, Shawn Hatch - he's rollerblading across the country for the Wounded Warrior Project and left some business cards at the ice cream place that we didn't get ice cream from but did get the Emerald Ash Borer trivia from.
